We adhere to a diversified and flexible industry-university cooperation model , actively assist the innovative development of enterprises in the field of biotechnology and medicine, also allows students and teachers who participate in industry-university cooperation to understand the research and development needs of the industry, thereby cultivating the talents needed by the industry.
TMU has diversified industry-university cooperation with enterprises. Its outstanding performance in 2023 is listed below:
1. TMU and industries jointly applied for the Industry-Academic Cooperation Program of the NSTC. There were a total of 19 applications, 10 of which were approved, with a pass rate of 53%. The total amount reached NTD 11,500,000, the highest in the past three years.
2. As of October 2023, TMU had a total of 63 industry-university cooperation cases, with a total amount of NTD 51,580,000.
3. Dean Rong-Hong Hsieh of the College of Nutrition has 6 industry-university cooperation projects, with a total contract value of NTD 11,350,000. He is the teacher with the highest cumulative amount of industry-university corporate projects in 2023.
4. The TMU Shuang Ho campus is an innovative biomedical park that combines a medical university, a medical center, and the biomedical industry. It links the basic research and clinical resources of TMU to create a high-quality development environment for co-creation and cooperation between biotech and medicine, industry and academia, and attract enterprises. The move will bring closer the cooperative relationship between schools, hospitals and industries and give full play to the clustering effect of the innovation and entrepreneurship incubation base. Currently, three well-known companies are about to sign contracts to move in the park by the end of 2023.
