TMU BioMed Accelerator x BE Accelerator’s healthcare demo day has been hosted virtually on July 20th. Nine Taiwanese and international startups pitched their moonshot healthcare solutions in the fields of Digital Health, Medical Devices, and AI Healthcare.
 
In this "TMU X BE Demo Day", we invited ANDREA HSU, Director of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr./Professor Chien-Huang Lin, President of Taipei Medical University, and Arthur Chen, the executive director of BE Accelerator, to celebrate the grand opening of the event. At the same time, we also invited Professionals from various fields participated in this grand event.
 
Continuing the two-strong joint acceleration program launched in 2020, this year, Taipei Medical University continuously inputs clinical resources from the university and six hospitals, during the acceleration period, TMU BioMed Accelerator initiated the formation of the "Hospital Clinical implementation Committee" and invited Director-level and above decision-making supervisors of Taipei Medical University Hospital, Wanfang Hospital and Shuanghe Hospital, from the perspective of clinical practice of the hospital, discussed face-to-face with the startups in a short period of time, and invited startups to understand the hospital's decision-making and evaluation process, as well as many practical suggestions for cooperation with the hospital, create more opportunities for clinical site with startup’s collaboration.
 
Apart from that, through BE Accelerator’s professional business counseling and investment evaluation, understands the resources that the startup team needs the most today, and links them with professional mentors in the industry, conducts one-to-one consultations, and gives them the most appropriate feedback and opinions. The startups can quickly solve the problems and accelerate their growth.
 
This event is also the first time was revealed in a live studio and live broadcasted. Each 9 startups conducted a five-minute pitching and QA through live. With invisible audiences and they could still keep up with the rhythm of the stage and share with the audience about their more than five months acceleration period, with the input of many professional biomedical resources, and how they achieve accelerated business growth.
 
The goal of this event is not only to show the actual results of coaching, but also to share the upcoming "International Market Expansion Pilot Trial" targeting the United States and Japan, as well inviting our American partner Christine Winoto, Executive Director of UCSF Rosenman Institute , And Japanese partner Yujiro Maeda, Co-director of Japan Biodesign & Co-founder of Premo Partners, share relevant content for startups to have opportunities to connect with medical institutions in San Francisco, USA and Tokyo, Japan!
