[Announcement on stationed in investment in Shuangho Biomedical Park] Taiwan’s first Innovation Park of ‘Medical University X Medical Centre X Biomedical Industry’
Shuangho Biomedical Park of Taipei Medical University is located at No. 301, YuanTong Road, Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, about 2 minutes' drive from Zhonghe interchange of National Freeway 3, adjacent to the east-west elevated expressway of provincial highway 64, and close to Shuanghe Hospital. It is the biomedical park closest to the hospital in Taiwan. It is a building with three floors underground and seventeen floors above the ground, with a total floor area of 23,000 square meters. The Biomedical Science and Technology building is a translational medical research, innovation, and entrepreneurship incubation base that links preclinical to clinical practice. It is planned to build SPF level animal centre, manufacturer's station space, precision instrument room, biomedical laboratory, offices, fitness centre and other spatial equipment, using the concept of Bio-Cluster to link the basic research and clinical resources of Taipei Medical University, to create a high-quality development environment for the co-creation and cooperation of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, In addition to attract industry manufacturers to station, it will also provide space and accelerator guidance for startups at the initial stage of entrepreneurship. It will also actively promote exchanges and cooperation between manufacturers, allow university-industry cooperation closer, and give full play to the clustering of innovation and entrepreneurship incubation bases effect.
Shuangho Biomedical Park combines "Medical University x Medical Centre x Biomedical Industry" to provide One-Stop Service for innovative research and development, clinical verification, market expansion, and international marketing resources. "Industrial R&D Centre" and "Innovation Incubation Centre" are set up in Biomedical Science and Technology building. There are two kinds of space for manufacturers to station. The former is planned and designed by the industry according to the needs of the enterprise; the latter is set up as a standard office or laboratory space, which is rented by the industry for direct use. This provides the manufacturers to choose the site to enter according to the company's development needs, and combine Shuangho Hospital's medical resources and physician communication platform to provide the industry with the resources needed for biomedical innovation.
In the future, Shuangho Biomedical Park will become an important landmark of Taiwan's biotechnology and medical industry. Combining with the Zhongho Huidun Biomedical Park in New Taipei City's planning, this will build a biotechnology and medical entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition to industrial development, through the connection of National Freeway 3, it is connected to Nangang, Xizhi, and National Biotechnology Park in the north, and Longtan and Zhubei Science Park in the south. This enhances Taiwan's competitiveness in the international biotechnology industry.
