TMU Biomed Accelerator has been selected by the Taipei City Department of Economic Development to join INNOPAD TAIPEI, marking another milestone in Taipei Medical University's growing biomedical innovation ecosystem. The Accelerator was invited to attend the official opening ceremony of INNOPAD TAIPEI today, joining Taipei City Government and industry partners in celebrating this new hub for the city's innovation community.
Through this selection, TMU Biomed Accelerator will establish a presence at INNOPAD TAIPEI, a 1,650-ping innovation space located at the Nangang Depot social housing complex. The Accelerator will actively recruit smart healthcare and health-tech startups founded within the past eight years, offering one year of free dedicated workspace and company registration support, alongside end-to-end incubation services, funding matchmaking, and international expansion resources — helping teams advance from Proof of Concept (PoC) to Proof of Business (PoB).
This expansion builds on TMU's recent appointment as the inaugural chair institution of the Taiwan Alliance of Clinical Trial Centers (TACTC), uniting 33 member institutions nationwide. Leveraging its "one university, six hospitals, one long-term care network" and the TACTC alliance, TMU Biomed Accelerator will connect resident startups directly with clinical trial resources — helping resolve common bottlenecks in clinical validation and regulatory review.
With this new flagship location, TMU Biomed Accelerator continues to deepen industry-government-academia collaboration, supporting Taiwan's biomedical startups on their path to global markets.
