TAIPEI, Sept. 23 – The Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs, held "InvestAI Day," a pitch and investment matchmaking event for promising biomedical AI startups. TMU BioMed Accelerator co-organized the event, and several of the startups it has long mentored took the stage.
A section chief from the Ministry said biomedicine is a key focus as AI spreads across industries, with fields such as precision medicine, healthcare, and medical imaging all needing deep integration with AI. She said the event brings startups and investors together to help teams gain faster access to funding and industry resources.
The pitching teams showed the strength of Taiwan's biomedical AI sector across many fields. Their solutions included AI-assisted medical imaging for early screening of chronic disease and osteoporosis, AI surgical navigation to improve precision and safety, AI motion analysis for health management and rehabilitation, a digital platform for mental health and telehealth services, AI tools that integrate clinical data to support medical decisions, and AI decision support for chest and respiratory care.
After the pitches, startups joined two rounds of small-group meetings with investors at seven in-person tables and one online table. Dozens of investment firms took part, including SparkLabs Taiwan and CDIB Capital. Investors responded positively to the teams' research and market plans, showing strong confidence in Taiwan's smart healthcare ecosystem.
