National Science and Technology Council 2024 Forward-looking Technology Industry-Academic Cooperation Plan accepts online applications.
There are three types of projects: 'Forward-looking technology research and development', 'Industry-academic research and development', and 'Leading technology development'. The National Science and Technology Council subsidy is higher, and there are different regulations on manufacturer cooperation funds. - The project concept letter of 'Forward-looking technology research and development'must be submitted as hardcopy to the Office of Business Development and electronic file to vict101@tmu.edu.tw before May 3, 2024
Project highlight
- The National Science and Technology Council leads the future science and technology development strategy from the perspective of the country as a whole, develops forward-looking academic research and development, and then interfaces with the resources of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
- To promote the development of scientific research and technology required for the next generation of diverse emerging industries (such as IC design, net-zero technology, generative AI applications, regenerative medicine, etc.) in the next 5-10 years, it is planned to focus on forward-looking technology fields and promote budding industrialize scientific research results and encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to invest.
- This plan aims to encourage universities, colleges and academic research institutions to conduct industry-university cooperation with enterprises and jointly invest in research and development to strengthen the patent layout of enterprises in emerging fields, establish industry standards or system integration, and assist enterprises in long-term key technology research and development talent Education.

Applicant qualifications
- Assistant professor or above.
- Serve as a lecturer for three years or more, and have works published in well-known academic journals or patented technical reports at local or international.
- Personnel with a doctoral degree and employed as an assistant researcher or above or with equivalent qualifications.
- Medical-related personnel who have served as an attending physician in an affiliated hospital for more than two years or have obtained a master's degree and have been engaged in research work for three years or more, and have published works in well-known academic journals at local or international.
